On 2^nd June 2023 Gregorio Chiorino, President and CEO of Chiorino, was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro 2023 by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

This important recognition is awarded every year, on the occasion of the Italian Republic Day, to 25 entrepreneurs who have contributed significantly with their business activity to the economic progress of the country, inspired by principles of ethics, solidarity and sustainability.

The only Piedmontese entrepreneur to have obtained the prestigious honor this year, Gregorio Chiorino has been President and CEO of Chiorino S.p.A. since 1982, a company he has led for over forty years, transforming it from a tannery into a modern industrial group.

Gregorio Chiorino has led the development and growth of the company with a strong focus on international expansion. Thanks to his vision, the Group today owns 19 foreign Companies and 38 fabrication centres around the world, with exports exceeding 80% of turnover.

Through continuous investments over the years Gregorio Chiorino has faced the challenges of market diversification, digitizalization and technological and product innovation, always with a strong commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.

He has always valued his Chiorino employees as a central and fundamental resource for a sustainable success. Since 1982, under his leadership, the Group's employees have increased from 136 to 1,030.
